WHAT'S NEW

THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION: At its November 2008 meeting, Faith’s Church Council authorized that Faith’s unconfirmed young people from Kindergarten age and older may partake in the sacrament of Holy Communion at Faith as long as the child’s parents/guardians approve.
Interested parents and children gathered after worship November 23 in Faith’s sanctuary. Pastor Russ answered questions and shared with the children the meaning of the sacrament.
For those who could not attend the November 23 gathering and who are interested in allowing their young people to join in the sacrament, please contact the church office. There’s reading material available, and Pastor Russ will meet with you at the church to share the meaning of the sacrament with your child.
Upcoming services of Holy Communion are December 7 (9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.), December 24 (10:00 p.m.), and January 4 (9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.).

“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. 17Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it” (Luke 18:16, NRSV).

Men and Women who are willing to help our church!
I want to thank those members who have been helping to clean the church each week. I won't mention names - you know who you are! We are meeting at 9:00 AM each Tuesday for about an hour and a half. For myself, I am enjoying the work and the fellowship. There are others who are helping at different times, including several families, and the essential tasks are getting done. We could always use more volunteers, however. If you are interested in helping on Tuesday, or at another time, please see me. I have a detailed list of the tasks, and we can find something for anyone to do.My phone is 610-432-4770; email is dseibert@enter.net.

DO YOU BUY GROCERIES? Of course you do! But did you realize that buying groceries can help to support our church?
Your commitment alone to buy groceries from Giant Food Stores can help our church raise money to defray the high cost of our heating bill.
It’s so easy!  Simply purchase a Giant Gift Card in increments of $25, $50, or $100 and use it to pay for your groceries the next time you shop at Giant Food Stores.  Think of all of the money you could earn just shopping for your holiday meals.  You can even give the gift cards to friends, family, or co-workers as gifts this holiday season!
A family spending $300 in groceries each month can earn up to $180/yr. for our church.
Everyone can help…it all adds up!
See Kristin Richards for more information or to purchase your cards.  Feel free to call 610.502.0252.  Thank you for your support!
