Education at Faith

The words “Thank You”  are not enough to say to my Faith church family for your prayers and well wishes for my trip to Israel visiting the Holy Lands in October.
            My goal, with the help of God, was to make this trip my personal pilgrimage. I have become more aware of how important it is to find Sabbath time for myself since entering the ministry. I have the personality of receiving energy from being an extrovert.
            My prayer for this trip was to pay homage to the sacred Holy Land. The way I hoped to accomplish this was to inhale the words in scripture Ecclesiastes 3:7
(A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak).
            When God created us he gave us 5 senses: see, smell, hear, taste, and touch. It comes easy to me to use the taste sense with my mouth. It is difficult for me to give equal time to the remaining senses.
            My goal on this trip was to use my eyes to see what Jesus saw. To use my nose to smell what Jesus smelled. To use my ears to hear what Jesus heard. To use my touch to touch what Jesus touched. My hope was to put my taste and mouth to rest.
            Entering into the Holy Land as a servant or vassal my focus was to concentrate on
silence. My silent meditation was to be my education tool. My concentration was to put myself in the moment of Jesus more than 2000 years ago. To inhale where Jesus walked. To stand in a place where the stories in the Bible took place. To hopefully have the words in the Bible be more than just words.
